Who We Are

A friend called me to help check on their newborn puppies while they were out of town. My daughter and I jumped at the chance to go care for puppies that were a couple days old. We loved the whole puppy process and fell in love with one of their pups, who we named Violet. Years later, we looked back on the puppy process with such fond memories, we decided to try it for ourselves. We started breeding Violet when she was 4 and have had successful litters. We have met wonderful people along the way and have learned so much.

We are the Hebertson Family. This is definitely a family business, with everyone playing their part. We love our Golden Retrievers, Violet and Pockets. We spend the first 8 weeks raising each puppy with love and a desire to get them situated in the best home possible for them.

We do genetic testing on our dogs and those we breed with, through Paw Print Genetics, to make sure we are producing puppies that will live long, heathy lives, without passing any genetic defects known to our breed, that are testable.

We have a home whelping area that is comfortable for our Dam that gives us the ability to keep a close eye on what is happening with our newborn pups. The whole family is involved in the process of playing, holding, cleaning, feeding, bathing and caring for our pups and mom, every way we can.

We are supported by: Mittens (cat) loves to keep a watchful eye on everything going on with our litters. Violet is a very attentive mama. Pockets (from Violet’s first litter) lets us know of any irregular sound, making sure these pups are well taken care of, and is happy when she gets to be around the pups, helping to clean, or play, whatever is needed. Wonderful family, friends and neighbors who love to come see and play with the puppies, any chance they can.

Our pups stay with us until they are a minimum of 8 weeks of age. This gives them the import opportunity to learn all they can from being with their siblings and mom. They learn so much during these 8 weeks that sets them up to learn more as they mature. The mom/pup/sibling bond is the best way to start your puppy on their amazing journey.

We seek to pair our pups with their new family and want everything to go as smooth as possible.
